Ⅰ.Application

    D3 tool steel is one type oil-quenched,high carbon, high chromium steel; 

    It is heat treatable and offer a hardness in the range of 58-64HRC;

    D3 tool steel possess high resistance to wear or to abrasion and for resistance to heavy pressure; 

    D3 machining is limited to finished grinding due to its abrasion resistance in the hardened condition;

    With its non-deforming properties, D3 is unsurpassed for die work on long  production runs. 

    It is widely used for blanking and forming dies,forming rolls , press tools , punches, bushes.
